Brutal 90's crime solving, turned time hopping driven horror, rolling into interstellar, infinity-driven insanity, all told by a female version of Max Payne. ![]() It has been a while since I had read/heard a SF thriller or suspense that I enjoyed so throughly. I then blasted straight through to the end even after the drive down. To make a long story short, this dark, twisted tale stole my attention immediately and had me wide eyed the whole trip. It is Memorial Day weekend in the U.S., so I had enough time off for the five hour drive to the coast without feeling like I had to turn right around and come back. I had grabbed a copy of the audiobook version of this story quite randomly, and planned on giving it a listen while on the road this weekend. ![]() I did not know of the author or of the story, so The Gone World took me by surprise.
